Butterflies
From Curious Expedition 2 Wiki
You can find butterflies on Jungle, Drylands, Archipelago, and Prehistoric islands. They are directly integrated on the map and stay on the same tile. Passing by and collecting them will give you a butterfly collection which is a nice Fame 
item.
There are many different-looking butterflies but there is no difference for the Fame item.
