The mysterious fog is part of the strange things happening on the curious islands. It seems to be constantly spreading and you should try to avoid it. Every island is surrounded by fog that approaches the island slowly but surely. It will take approximately 400 days for the fog to reach the island and then it will spread quickly on the island. Mechanically this prevents you from staying too long on the islands.
