The Leader or Explorer is the player's chosen avatar and head of the party. Leaders are chosen at the beginning of the Campaign and cannot be changed or removed as long as they remain alive.
The Big Game Hunter and Anthropologist are available immediately, while the others are unlocked by completing specific achievements.
Leader characters
Each Leader has unique traits and stats that encourage certain play styles. Some also have exclusive Perks available after each trek in addition to the standard perks.
Leaders start with more Health than Companions, and have a Capacity of 4 instead of 2. They start the campaign at Experience Level 2.
Note: In the table below, Health and Traits are based on Level 1. Since Leaders start at Level 2 they will have +5 Health, and one level-up increase already applied to traits.
Starting parties
Each Leader starts with one pre-determined Level 1 Hand Item and two pre-determined Level 1 Companions.
Note: In the table below, numeric columns combine numbers from the leaders themselves, their starting companions, and their equipment. Dice face numbers are in decreasing order for column sorting, so the ordering of dice does not match across columns.
