The corrupted island type is a new one that has been added with the first free DLC [[1.1.0]]. It is mostly a rather small island type but also quite dangerous. It is the homeland of the [[Pale Mask]] tribe that comes taking over islands of our dimension. It is accessible via a portal from any other island type. It is composed of only unique tiles like the [[glowing forest]], [[blood springs]] or [[corrupted fields]]. It is also inhabited by special animals and enemies like [[critters]], the [[Rampaging Duke]], or [[flying jellyfish]]. It has a very special shrine that can cure a trek member from being a Pale Mask member and is the place where you can find [[the Duke]] to create potions. You have to find the portal on the other side of the island to get back to your dimension.
